St. Angel’s school has placed academic excellence and innovation in education as its prime objective. To maintain the schools’ characteristics of providing a wide range of activities with the idea of developing complete personality, self discipline and the spirit of co-operation is a necessary part of the school’s study. A teacher here performs the role of a facilitator, manager, counsellor, action-researcher, evaluator and curriculum enricher. Learning here is an exciting process of discovery, not a tiresome chore for children.
The school has provided an excellent environment which fosters a spirit of inquisitiveness and keen competition in every child. As the students grow in age and mental ability, they are expected to understand the meaning of self-discipline, instead of being subjected to external discipline. Discipline means punctuality, regular school attendance, cleanliness and control over one’s actions and speech. Discipline inside and outside the classroom is taught/expected of all students at all times.
The students of our school performed very creditably at the board Examination. We take pride at the fact some parents brought their children to our school as they did not do well at the school they were studying. If seats were available, our teachers were ready to take up the challenge and saw to it that the student who suffered from an inferiority complex due to his past performance gained confidence. The student gave a much better performance than what would be expected on the basis of the past performance. In some cases the student even made it to a medical college.
